I recommend you plan for 45 minutes for your consultation/first fitting, and 30-45 minutes for all subsequent fittings. You may bring a friend or family member along to the fitting with you, but I ask that you limit the number of guests to 2, in order to help me ensure that the fitting process moves along without much delay or distraction.
What to bring: Please bring the dress and shoes with the heel height you plan to wear. If you already have specific undergarments on hand, feel free to bring these, and I'll also be happy to advise once I see the dress on you.
Payment: After assessing the work required, I will prepare an invoice with the estimated of cost for your sewing needs and would appreciate a 50% deposit should we decide to move ahead. I accept cash, check, credit cards, and Chase QuickPay.
I am located at 318 West 9th Street, (between Olive & Hill Streets), 7th floor, #723. For privacy, my location is not listed on the main sign in the lobby, so please be sure to refer to this email for address specifics. Upon exiting the elevators at the 7th floor, follow the hallway to the right of the elevators about halfway down, and my door will be marked on the left.
Street parking at meters is usually available nearby, as is parking at one of the several lots in the area, including on the NW corner of 9th at Olive, and the NE corner of 9th at Hill. This map highlights a few of the local parking areas, as well as some of my favorite local spots in case you want a coffee, drink, or bite before or after your fitting. If you have any trouble finding parking nearby, you can call me so I can come down and pick up your dress from the entrance of the building, so you have less of a distance to walk with the dress, should it be heavy or unwieldy to carry.
